"Time’s up. I now announce Gu Junjie from Assembly Workshop No. 2 as the champion!" This was a key moment at CIJAN’s annual welding skills competition.
The highly anticipated 2025 Technical Skills Competition launched in May, with 283 participants competing in 11 categories, including welding, lathe operation, forklift driving, assembly, servo systems operation, maintenance, precision measurement, valve assembly, CAD drafting, and warehouse management. It included both written tests and practical assessments.
The CNC lathe competition on the afternoon of May 11 kicked off the event. Under clear skies and a gentle breeze, the venue—decorated with colorful flags and flowers around the podium—was abuzz with energy. Contestants showed exceptional skill and calmness, and Wen Zhongyan from the Connecting Rod Workshop won first place with outstanding performance.
Subsequent contests assessed skills for each trade:
l Forklift operators: Precision in turning, angle control, driving skills, and psychological resilience.
l Welders: Equipment parameter adjustment and welding proficiency.
l Assembly technicians: Blueprint-reading ability, operational proficiency, production efficiency, and quality assurance capability.
A total of 52 winners achieved excellent results and returned with honors. Departments including Production, Corporate Office, Equipment, Quality Assurance, and Logistics provided strong support.
